When MyAnna Buring received the script for
Lesbian Vampire Killers, the hot Swede was surprised it was a comedy horror movie and not a stick flick.
Did you think this was a porn movie when you first heard the name?
Haha, absolutely. I thought my career was nearly over and this is how I’m being thought of now. But once I read the script, it’s a perfect name and I can’t imagine it being called anything else. The film is fun and silly and delivers what the characters say they’ll do.
After happily watching Lesbian Vampire Killers, it looks like you had a lot of fun too.
I’ve heard stories that comedy is such a serious business and I disagree, as it has to be done with lots of laughter on the film set. This is my first comedy and I had a ball.
Tell us about playing the role of Lotte, a cute librarian-looking virgin?
Lotte is a feisty character who doesn’t have to take her clothes off, but still gets her man at the end and has a snog. She’s like Velma from
Scooby-Doo.

That’s a shame your clothes stay on. You also kissed one of the lesbian vampires. Is that your first on-screen girl-on-girl kiss?
Yes it is and I was expecting to just use the lips, but my co-star Vera stuck the tongue in straight away. We had about three takes and it was funny that I got paid to snog a mate in front of my boyfriend and her husband.
Nice one! There were some very attractive lesbians in the flick. If you were a bloke watching the movie, who would be your favourite?
That’s a really tough question. Can I choose one for every day of the week? I would go for Lotte, as I’m attracted to guys who are funny, feisty and charismatic.
All of the lesbians had sexy Scandinavian accents. Considering you’re Swedish, did you assist in directing or something?
The four lesbians are supposed to be from Sweden and we all had Swelish lessons. I think the girls pulled it off really well.
Do you think the hottest girls in the world come from your country?
Generally, Swedish girls are ridiculously beautiful. Although, I lived in Oman and Iran and saw some incredible looking women, and Australia is known to have stunning girls as well.
Do you think the movie was one of the writers sordid fantasies to see a virgin and hot bunch of lesbians on the big screen?
Paul Hupfield and Stewart Williams were given the challenge to write a script with the most stupid and unusual name. I think the two guys in the movie were over the moon to be working and running around with beautiful semi-naked women.
There was some strong on-screen chemistry between Lotte and Jimmy (Matthew Horne). Were you worried about his surname disrupting the filming of the movie?
It didn’t worry me, but in hindsight it does. Matthew was a lovely lad. Maybe he had the horn for the vampires?
