Jimeoin on Ice

Tuesday, December 2, 2008
• Funny new material
• Hilarious observations on human behaviour
• Takes the piss out of his old man

Jimeoin may have disappeared from the telly, but it's good to see him return to the stage. The bloke delivered the goods with his usual hilarious musings on human behaviour, picking up and the afterlife.

The shaved-head funny fella also brought the house down with his take on memory loss and used the theme for maximum effect throughout the night at the Playhouse, Sydney Opera House.

His thick Irish accent has faded a bit, so he was easier to understand compared to previous gigs when he downed tinnie after tinnie. He told the crowd how his old man warned him about getting drinks spiked, but added, "No one is going to take you home Dad and shag you."

The Melbourne Comedy Festival regular featured some funny new material here, but he also used a bunch of gags from previous shows.

Some of his observations included the lack of respect of keyboard players. "Maybe the keyboard player should sit on a swiss ball and do pelvic thrusts while he's playing so he looks cool," The Extra star joked.

Watching Jimeoin is bloody funny, but awkward at the same time.

Listen Jo frm Melbourne - maybe u have a magic mirror at home - love to see u go and do an act after Jimeoin ON STAGE - see how funny u are then!!!! He is funny and a top person - Love to see how crabby u will be to have Judgemental people critecise soooo quickly. My mother taught me manners "Have nothing nice to say - KEEP IT TO URSELF" No wonder not many Sydney people go to Melbourne probably cause of u. But thanks for writing nasty things about yourself on internet. Jimeion YOU'RE FUNNY & Great - Stuff the the rest people like Jo say - U get paid heaps more than she. Keep being FUNNY JIMEOIN. xxxx Nice to see YOU'RE BACK xxx
Not once have i walked out of a comedy festival and heard people complain of Jimeoin after a show! Plus that girl Jo needs to spell Jimeoin's name right if she's going to critisize. Right Jo! Get your spelling right and maybe you to can have a good laugh..... keep it up Jimeoin - i mean your laughs mate.. Gibbo
Keep it coming Jimi, i can't believe the question has been asked. I know everyone has their opinion but mine is for and not against. Laughter is soothing and so needed in one's life!Gibbo
Are u kidding!!!!! If a male or female can make u laugh, that's absolutely fantastic and relaxing. To go home and have a conversation on the nights event and still keep laughing for day's after is so enjoyable. He may be the only comedian around but he's world known and he's here in Australia supporting the community and keeping everyone happy. No one one turns off the telly because of comedy and i've never met a person walking out of a comedy festival saying that was ***, I laugh at the question!!!!!
The Irish accent only takes you so far. As they say in horse racing parlance "Prefer others"
He's had his 15 minutes of fame....can someone please turn off the spotlight!
He was awful in Good News Week when he was on (the final episode). My Mum told me he wasnt funny and I thought she was being prejudice but as soon as words spilled out of his mouth I saw he was rubbish. What a bad "comedian".
JO keep ur comments to self. What are u on about? Jimeoin is funny probably more funny than u. Love to see you do an act better than Jimeoin. Didn't ur parents teach ya to keep ur nasty comments about people to urself. JIMEOIN IS FUNNY and if u can't realise that then this world is full of stuffy people.

Jo in Melbourne - i think u're a crabby person who is judgemental - maybe u need to take a good look in the mirror cause all that you've written about Jimeoin i think u've written words about yourself.!! unless u have a magic mirror at home. I think JIMEOIN IS GREAT & FUNNY. He knows that STUFF THE REST of u all fools who think the same as JO cause he is richer than u lovey. Love to see u do an act after Jimeoin gets off stage so i can throw tomatoes at you. No wonder people come back from Melbourne n think it's stuffy it's because u live there - full of judgemental PMS people like u. Haven't got nothing nice to say about Jimeoin and u're not better than him keep it to urselves. U rock JIMEOIN =D
