Jack Thompson, the Aussie actor and true blue icon talks to RALPH about beer and getting nude in a chicks' mag.

Drinking
I’m a beer man. My preference is well known by my friends – it’s a schooner of Reschs. That’s the first beer I had as a young man. I like red wine with a meal and I enjoy a little bit of scotch, but I drink less as the years go on.

Australia
The best thing about Australia is the country and the people. From the backstreets of the cities to the vast desert areas to the beautiful north coast. God, I could go on and on. When I was 14 I went to work on a cattle station in the desert and I was intoxicated by it. Where else in the world can you find people like us? It’s a wonderful place to live.

Getting nude in a chicks’ mag
The Cleo centrefold shoot in 1972 changed things. Nudity was no big thing for me – as a kid, I wandered around in the bush without clothes on. In that shoot, I had to drape my hand decorously over the equipment and I remember a mate saying at the time, "How come you’ve got six fingers, Jack?" It did change my image, alright.

Well, how scarce is a copy of the Cleo magazine with Jack Thompson in it? Cannot locate a copy! Jack, you are the best actor in Australia! I cried when you died in "Australia" the Movie,and I want to know when FIND MY FAMILY is coming back on TV.

Hi I would like to know the real name of the actor who played brian the barman in the claytons drink commercial that had jack thompson in it in the early 1980s. I would like to see the commercial too. this actor was also house pride herb in the hudson hardware commercial which aired around the same time as the claytons commercial.
