Facebook ruined Miss Bikini World's career

Friday, August 21, 2009
Facebook has ruined the modelling career of Miss Bikini World hottie Sarah Hilton, by claiming her gallery of pics are too provocative.

RALPH.com has scored EXCLUSIVE SHOTS and an INTERVIEW with the Melbourne swimsuit and lingerie model before she appeared on A Current Affair.

Since the Facebook moderators disabled the Melbourne model’s account in January, the modelling work has dried up for the babe with Maltese and German background.

The 23-year-old with a total of 4000 Facebook friends says, "This has seriously affected my modelling career. I've scored countless jobs through my Facebook fan page and profile and this is how I liaise with models, photographers and men's magazines."

Sarah has sent endless emails to Facebook, but the social networking site replies with the same email every time, claiming the photos violate the terms of use and show nudity.

"I haven't showed any topless, bare bottom or full nudity pics and the most I've showed is a white wet top," says the former RALPH Australian Swimwear of the Year finalist.

The Wet'n'Wild calendar model and former face of Awgasm clothing brand has had to rely on other retail work to pay the bills.

RALPH.com proposes to start up a petition and present it to Facebook.

She's not that good looking anyway! OK body maybe, but the face doesn't do anything for me. Not stunning or gorgeous at all. A bit bland. But I suppose it is the BIKINI content. Am I just a bit old fashioned for preferring to see a woman who has a gorgeous face and doesn't care that much about the body?!
Honestly facebook is not where the modeling community is all at. Sure it's a place for social networking, but there are so many places online that you can liase with photographers, mags and models that isn't facebook related. Maybe if this model had a brain in her head she would make the best of her situation and look elsewhere. Also facebook doesn't have a personal vendetta against this person, if they say she has breached their terms and conditions, then she probably has.
I agree, facebook is for catching up with friends, I don't want to see raunchy pics all over the place, and one of the photos in the banned gallery is topless (she's quoted as saying none of them are). There are plenty of other ways to get a job other than facebook.
Is it really ruined? How did people actually get by before facebook? I am sure her career is just fine. It probably means she needs to do some real life publicity work rather than post photos on facebook. Or perhaps she could only use photos where she is pretty much just modeling bikinis, not lingerie, or wet t-shirts. Facebook has a no nipple policy, and the wet t-shirt pics definitely show nipples. It makes sense facebook removed the photos. She can either make them less provocative or get publicity elsewhere.
If facebook is not an "advertising ploy" then why do I have to complete stupidly annoying surveys and link things to my page that promote various sites-products-services? Why is there a 'small business' category? Why can businessess create pages and links within the site itself and pop ups have facebook themes? Get with it- people use facebook as a marketing tool- how sad if it was just to catch up with friends and family-and how many BOOOORING, pointless pieces of drivel would be published- oh hang on- there already is!
Are you kidding me! I have countless friends on fb with MUCH more provocative and revealing shots than this- professional model-photographer friends and just ordinarily extroverted people as well. There has to be another side to this- has the photographer reported her for using photos without permission? Has some jealous woman repeatedly "reported" her? The whole thing has gotten her the extra publicity she was lacking so has she done it herself?
facebook is a social network.... a site to stay in touch with family and friends. not a porn site sarah pics are too provocative....
I feel sorry for Sarah. She is not hurting anyone and with a body like that the only thing being injured are my eyes. There are a lot of jealous people out there and i'm pretty sure they know who they are..give her a break ...she's georgeous.
Can`t see what all the fuss is about. I bet most kids are looking at far worse that these pics in mags and computer. Granted, the wet tee shirt one is getting close, but certainly no worse than one sees on tv. As far as Facebook is concerned, I feel this is a very suspect site in any case. Lots of people have regretted joining it, and personally, I would not have anything to do with it, so maybe Sarah should try a more suitable site.
I am amazed that all the negative comments seem to come from one guy in Sydney? Jelous?
