Mother-in-law survives missile attack

Wednesday, April 1, 2009
• Anti-tank missile launcher used in attack
• Son-in-law couldn't take the nagging anymore

A man tried to do in his mother-in-law with an anti-tank missile launcher, because she had turned his wife against him.

Bosnian Miroslav Miljici blamed his wife's mum for the break-up of his marriage, and was out for revenge.

When his mother-in-law survived the rocket attack on her home, Miljici tried to kill her with a machine gun. He failed on that count too.

The court where Miljici was tried in Doboj, Bosnia, heard that the mother-in law survived with barely an injury.

Miljici was jailed for six years for the attempted murder, judges clearly unimpressed by his claim that he could no longer take his mother-in-law's nagging.
