French bloke gets arm stuck in toilet

Tuesday, October 28, 2008
A passenger on a train in France got his arm stuck in the toilet and was taken to hospital with the bowl still attached to it.

The bloke had been trying to fish out his mobile phone from the dunny when his arm was sucked into the bowl.

The high-speed TGV train travelling between La Rochelle and Paris had to stop for two hours while firemen cut through the train's pipework.

"He came out on a stretcher, with his hand still jammed in the toilet bowl, which they had to saw clean off," said passenger Benoit Gigou, as reported on BBC News.co.uk.

Would you still try and retrieve your phone if it fell down the toilet bowl? Leave your comment below.

Think about the bactieria. Its like risking ur life just for something stupid that would probably get damaged a few days later. Just buy a new one cause thats the easy way. Otherwise use something to hook the phone up besides ur hands. !!!XD
Are you sure it wasn't a Frog ?
Did he at least get his phone back? and couldnt they have just cracked the bowl?
yes i would and have fished out my mobile phone, it wasn't the only thing in the toilet either. it wasn't good but it was the only way to get the sim card and contacts back. the phone after it was dried out worked for about 3 months later then died.
Yes, I would try to retrieve my phone. But it would be a *** of a job. HaHa.
a mobile from a toilet? I wouldn't do it even if it was an I Phone, yuck! Imagine the germs! Especially a public toilet.
Bloddy French
I would try to retrieve a mobile phone if I dropped it down a toilet ,providing the toilet just contained water and there was no danger of getting my hand or arm caught in the toilet.
Yes I have many of times... Not cool
Yes, I probably would! Even tho its completely ruined at that point, its such a critical personal item these days and because you could see it...sinking well I think saving it in hope that the sim card mite transfer data at the very least makes it worth while! Its surprising what people would do, I have had my car keys fall in a public toilet on more than one ocassion, and hey I needed them.
