Dog appears as witness in murder trial

A dog nicknamed Scooby has appeared as a witness in a trial to find the murderer of his 59-year-old owner.

Scooby is believed to have been with his French owner when she was found hanging from the ceiling of her apartment. Cops think it was a suicide, but her family demanded a murder investigation.

During a preliminary hearing the dog was led to the witness box by a vet where it “barked furiously” at a suspect.

The judge must now decide if there is sufficient evidence to launch a full murder inquiry.

A legal spokesman said it was the first time a dog had appeared as a witness in France and he was “almost certain” it was also a world first.

Doesn’t the bloke know this stuff happened in every episode of Scooby Doo.?

I have lived with dogs all my life, and they can be trusted better the most human beings, this bloke is guilty, shoot to kill!

ID BE A LITTLE WORRIED IF I WAS THE SUSPECT.ANIMALS ARE A LOT SMARTER THAN WE GIVE THEM CREDIT.

Surely there must be more to the story than what has been printed! What grounds do the family have for suspecting murder? Based on the deceased's mental state and circumstances, was the deceased a prime candidate for suicide? The "suspect" may have just been very nervous and perspiring profusely, both of which the dog would have picked up on. Although I do believe dogs have a "sixth sense" ,I'm sure the judge would need to take into consideration much more than just the dog barking furiously at "the suspect" before making a decision.

A dog barking furiously at a suspect would tip the scales against the suspect if i was a juror in this case.

A dog, and most domestic animals will remember a threat or attack to their owner. Of course this guy is guilty - hang him!
