Pakistani prison guards have caught 37 inmates with mobile phones concealed inside their bodies.

Most of the prisoners were able to remove the phones without surgery, but seven had to go under the knife to remove their non body-friendly phones.

This is the largest incident of mobile phone concealment in a single prison, but not the first. Last year a Pomgolian prisoner needed more than 200 stitches and had part of his bladder removed during surgery to remove a mobile from his rectum.

On the bright side, he got much better reception once the mobile was out.
