World's best ever competition

Friday, June 6, 2008

Forget about the dream of living in the Playboy mansion, Budweiser is giving beer lovers the chance to become a beer tasting apprentice.

The American brewing company is giving one lucky drinker the chance to travel around the world to learn about the craft from Budweiser brewmasters.

Ten finalists from around the world will be selected to attend a day-long challenge at the Bud Brewery in London.

The chosen apprentice will then fly to the home of Budweiser - — St Louis, Missouri to see where the drop was created.

Next up in the beerathon it’s off to Busch Farm Huell in Munich, Germany, where the apprentice will experience harvesting the aromatic hops.

Part of the training sees the apprentice return back to the London Brewery, shadowing the brewmasters and learning each step of the complex brewing process.

Drinkers can enter the competition on www.budweiser.co.uk by completing a brewing quiz and explaining why you deserve to become the Budweiser Brewmaster’s Apprentice.

Don’t worry, RALPH is all over it and has already applied 87 times.

What a pathetic excuse for an apprenticeship. They can shove it up their ***, go and work at the bottle-O if you like to waste your time on beer.
