A fuming Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has fined up to 30 players after a disgraceful Christmas party that involved rape claims and a "roasting" scandal.

Every big-earning first team star who took part in the $AU9068-a-head 15-hour booze-athon has been fined slightly less than a week's wages, totalling a whopping $AU2,266,102.

After defender Jonny Evans was arrested on suspicion of rape, Fergie ripped into Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Rio Ferdinand, Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs.

Around 100 female guests were personally selected by party organisers while all wives and girlfriends were barred. A 19-year-old blonde woman was apparently heard moaning as she was allegedly "roasted" in an orgy involving three players.

Witnesses claim they heard clapping and cheering coming from one of the player's room and the men were "shrieking like hyenas" and shouting "Get in there!"
