After Sylvester Stallone's recent comeback in Rocky Balboa and his soon-to-be-released Rambo 4, he plans to direct and star in a remake of the 1974 Charles Bronson movie Death Wish.

It seems the plot for Sly's Rocky and Rambo movies has run dry and MGM hopes Death Wish will spawn another franchise.

Stallone, who was charged with possession of human growth hormones last year, plays a family man who becomes a vigilante when his wife and daughter are murdered by street hoodlums.

The original Death Wish set off a fad for vigilante movies and spawned four sequels, the last of which, Death Wish V, appeared in 1995.
