Canadian snowboard pro Trevor Andrew slams the snow and stage in style.
Does a snowboarder have to dress a certain way?
Not at all. Snowboarding is all about individuality – it’s not premeditated. It's people being original and putting a spin on it. It’s also about the way you snowboard – that should translate into your style.
You also play in a band. What’s the deal?
It started from an injury three years ago – I blew out my knee. It took nine months to get better. I was just doing physical therapy and chilling out. Then I started writing stuff. My girl passed the songs on to her friends. Next thing I know I’ve got people wanting to use them on snowboarding DVDs.
Does your clobber on stage differ to what you’d wear on the snowboard scene?
I just wear what I wear all the time. I might put on extra gold chains. It’s pretty basic. With snowboarding, the clothes we wear are completely inspired by normal streetwear. It’s everyday shit that we rock.
