1. Combine egg, cream, milk, cinnamon and sugar in large bowl. Dip bread slices into egg mixture.
2. Melt half of the butter in large frying pan; cook half of the bread slices until browned both sides. Repeat with remaining butter and bread. Serve sprinkled with extra sugar. It's like having dessert for breakfast.
The bi-lateral breakfastJust like the fries, french toast is a Froggy idea that's more popular amongst ravenous American appetites than it ever has been in France. And its popularity reaches all the way to the top. It's a favourite breakfast in the White House, but when the pesky French refused to support the war in Iraq, it became known as 'freedom toast'.
All shook upHere's a more morning-friendly use for a cocktail shaker. Bung in a bit of instant coffee, a dash of vanilla, some sugar, ice cubes and plenty of milk. Give it a shake for a great iced coffee.
