Hot legs

Serving size: Serves 6
Cooking time: Less than 30 minutes
Favourite flavours: Saucy

INGREDIENTS

12 chicken drumsticks
3/4 cup (80ml) sweet chilli sauce
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 cloves garlic, crushed
METHOD

1. Chuck it all in a big bowl.

2. Cook undrained chicken on heated oiled grill plate until cooked through. So simple even a drummer could do it.

Handling the heat
Chicken drumsticks lathered in a sticky marinade are a serious test of your ability to monitor heat levels on your barbie or, harder still, the campfire. A drumstick that's coated in charred marinade while still half-raw inside is not only unappetising, but downright dangerous. Use a low heat on the barbie, or let the campfire burn down a bit and rearrange coals to ensure the heat's not too fierce.

Yalumba Cabernet Sauvignon 2 litre cask
A good-quality cask is a smart camping option. Not only do you get more booze in a cask, it's a whole lot easier to lug than bottles.
