Handling the heatChicken drumsticks lathered in a sticky marinade are a serious test of your ability to monitor heat levels on your barbie or, harder still, the campfire. A drumstick that's coated in charred marinade while still half-raw inside is not only unappetising, but downright dangerous. Use a low heat on the barbie, or let the campfire burn down a bit and rearrange coals to ensure the heat's not too fierce.
