Carlton Draught can shoved up a barbeque chicken

Forget about beer battered fish and chips, beer-can chicken is easily up there as the best beer recipes in the world.
Ingredients
One whole chicken
Italian seasoning mix
1 can of full-strength beer (light beer is not acceptable for this bloke-friendly recipe).
Rocket leaves
Olive oil
Method
1. Preheat the barbecue.
2. Sprinkle the chicken with the Italian seasoning mix.
3. Drink half the can of beer and stand the chicken on top of the can, inserting it into the chicken's bum.
4. Sprinkle it with a little more seasoning and put the chicken on the barbeque grill.
5. Cook the chicken for about an hour, with the barbeque cover one-quarter open.
6. Carefully remove the hot can from the chicken and ask your mate to hold it, without crying like a

7. Serve the chicken with rocket leaves on the side. Salad dressing is optional.

Yeah i reackons its the best way to cook chicken, every one i cook for say its the best chicken thay have ever eaten. One Small trick get half a lemon and squeeze the juices down the neck and then stuff it down there for the last half hour of cooking. REAL GOOD.
Would this recipe work ok with a can of jack or jim beam and is it ok to wear my mocasins while i bbq????

ive been cooking this for years... the best beer to use is dark ales like tooheys old, kilkenny, ginness or james squire IPA, and adding in a bit of groung cummin. nomnomnom

Have done this countless times. Tis really yummy. Try stuffing a few cloves of garlic or fresh herbs or wharever u fancy up the rear end b4 inserting the can of beer.
