Eight months ago I did my first Victoria’s Secret commercial. Then the Victoria’s Secret fashion show this year and now my first
SI cover. In America, it’s one of the biggest things a model can do so I’m pretty honoured.
You shoot in some amazing tropical playgrounds – is there any time for cocktails with little umbrellas?
There is. Everyone thinks because Sports Illustrated is such a big deal it’s this high-stress environment but it’s really not. A lot of times the best shots are when the photographer is like, “Let’s just go for a walk,” and it will just be him and I. It’s a long day but I wouldn’t say it’s a stressful day. It’s fun, too.
You’ve done a lot of nude-in-bodypaint shots in SI – do you get sick of getting paint out of strange places?
You’re in for a long day but it’s such a unique thing to do. You really are a canvas, and as much as there’s the appeal that you’re nude and all that, it really is some genius artwork that goes into it.
