If you're like RALPH and forgot to change the time on your alarm clock for daylight saving on the weekend, these body sensor alarm clocks will make you happier than waking up with a morning glory.
aXbo alarm clock
What is it?
Waking up is hardly our favourite bit of the day, but this clock does its best to ease the pain. It uses clever technology to read your movements with a sensor bracelet while you sleep. Close to your desired waking time, it will judge when your body is best ready to face the day. It can monitor up to two people at the one time. If you have any more than two people in your bed, you probably don't want to get out.
What's good?
It is genuinely clever. You will wake up when you're ready to be most active, so you won't get that feeling of being dragged out of a deep sleep by Kyle and Jackie O that makes you want to crawl back under the doona.
What's not?
Having to wear a sensor bracelet is a little like being Lindsay Lohan on monitored parole. Plus, the price below is pretty steep considering its a one-trick pony.

$279 for one person, $319 for two

iFit Sleep Science Alarm
What is it?
A mix of practical and psychobabble in the one iPhone app, the alarm can wake you easier, or help you with Oprah-style "empowering" conversation while you doze.
What's good?
Put your iPhone by your pillow and it will read your body movements and noise to ascertain the best time to blast you into the day. The "sunrise" function gets the phone to light up before going off, mimicking some extra sun before you are woken by noise.
What's not?
You can record empowered messages to yourself and play them back as you drift off and wake up. It sounds to us like a load of crap but the maker assures us it makes you approach the day in a better mood.
How much?
$5.99
