You look like you’re at a party in our shoot, Ashleigh – are you a party girl?
Yeah, I’d have to say I am.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you at a party?
There was one time when I was walking around this party wearing a very low-cut top, and I realised people were looking at me and laughing. I’m like, “What the hell?” until I looked down and saw my nipple was poking out – and absolutely no-one told me!

What about the most outrageous thing you’ve seen at a party?
Oh my God, this guy and his mates smashed the top off a bottle and started engraving things like the name of his favourite band into his back. Then he started picking up gravel and chewing on it really hard. He was so drunk.

What a dunce. Have you ever gone to some effort for a theme party? My friend had a party where you had to come as something beginning with T, so my friend and I went as trailer-park trash, real skanky, with denim cut-offs, high-side ponytails and blue make-up. We looked awesome.

Do you ever expect to meet a life partner at a party or is a random the best you can hope for?
Definitely a random is the best to be hoped for.

Do you talk to strangers at parties or do you wait to be introduced? It just depends on the situation. I probably wouldn’t go up and talk to a guy I liked the look of. I’d show him I was interested but I wouldn’t sidle up and go, “Hey there.”

Do girls know what guys get up to at all-bloke birthday parties?
It would be good to be a fly on the wall at one but I don’t think they’re that much of a mystery. We can read you like a book.

What did you do for your last birthday?
I was 19 the other week so all my friends came down to Brisbane from the Sunshine Coast and we went out in the Valley all weekend.

Among your girlfriends, how do you rank on the raunchy-talk meter?
Me and my friends are definitely at the raunchier, dirtier end. I think we’re dirtier than the guys. When they’re with us they can’t believe what we talk about, and it’s about anything and everything... (pauses) that’s raunchy and dirty.
